YouTube/Google announced on April 12, 2012 that anyone can monetize their videos (make money from ads). You must opt in your account and have at least one video enabled for advertising. To get paid, it is best to have a AdSense account. You must live in one of the following counties: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States. (This list is current as of April 2012)

Griffin is a award winning freelance video producer, including news/documentary-style videos, sports highlights, and online video competitions. Erik Beck is an actor, producer, filmmaker and master of low -budget special effects who co-founded Indy Mogul on Youtube in 2007. He is the  Executive Producer of the Next New Network (now part of Youtube). Erik and his work have been featured in The Wall Street Journal, MediaWeek, Popular Mechanics Magazine, NewTeeVee, CNN, G4 TV. Below is one of my favorite videos starring Erik.

Ryan Connolly is the Founder and President of Triune Films which produces Film Riot on YouTube. Having graduated film school, Ryan has made several short films and commercials. Film Riot has produced dozens of you-build-it (DIY) style videos and equipment reviews/comparisons. Their best work is how-to videos on special effects. At the time of this article, Film Riot has 124,000+ subscribers and 38 million+ video views. I could not pick a favorite video, just too many good ideas. Below is the short film “Losses” they produced.

He also shares video tips with his subscribers when he travels to great locations. Dave has done several DIY videos I enjoyed. At the time of this article, Dave has 14,000+ subscribers and 3 million+ views on Youtube. Below is a favorite video he made about lighting.
