He worked for a TV station and became an digital editor. Several years later, he founded RHED Pixel. RHED is an acronym for Richard Harrington Electronic Design. Ryan Connolly is the Founder and President of Triune Films which produces Film Riot on YouTube. Having graduated film school, Ryan has made several short films and commercials. Film Riot has produced dozens of you-build-it (DIY) style videos and equipment reviews/comparisons. Their best work is how-to videos on special effects. At the time of this article, Film Riot has 124,000+ subscribers and 38 million+ video views. I could not pick a favorite video, just too many good ideas. A graduate of Middlebury College, Koo (as he is known online) most successful endeavor to date is raising $125,000+ US (his goal was $115,000US) using Kickstarter.com for his feature film “Man-child“. He has contributed greatly to the DIY comunity by writing the free (YES, I said FREE) ebook “The DSLR Cinematography Guide” available on his site.
